The boys and girls cross country teams traveled to East Bridgewater on Friday afternoon for the annual “Battle of the Bridgewaters”. The girls raced first and Maggie Allen, Devyn McCarthy, Caitlin Kaprelian and Joie Kennon took 4 of the top 5 spots to lead the Wildcats to victory. The boys race was much closer with the boys down by 2 points with 4 runners each across the finish line. However, Chris Pratt, Dan Pleach and Chris Rego all sprinted hard to the finish before EB’s next runner and the boys came away with a 1 point victory.
The girls varsity soccer team defeated Brockton on Friday 1-0. McKenna O’Neill scored ten minutes into the second half but unfortunately got called back due to being too awesome. The girls continued to work hard to pick up another goal scored by Steph Brodil which was assisted by Liz Williams. Sophie Roy had a great game in net and the defensive line of Italia Ciccolo, Amanda Wells, Abbie Boucher and Nicole Berglund was solid all game. Come support the girls as they host Middleboro today @ 3:30.
The Field Hockey team beat Middleboro one to nothing in an exciting game. The defense anchored by Hannah Galbato and Mia Smith was solid helping Haylee Devery keep the sachems scoreless. The lone goal was scored by Mia Smith on a stroke. They look to continue their winning ways at home on Wednesday against Bishop Feehan.
