As you all may know, Puerto Rico has been devastated by the hurricanes that have passed through the island. You can help make a difference by donating to Trick or Treat for Unicef. In the High School, the donation boxes will be coming around during powerblock.  For Middle School students, you may be able to help by participating in your powerblock challenge for this cause.  Every little bit helps!

Girls Ice Hockey - There will be an interest meeting for any girl interested in forming a co-op ice hockey team on Tuesday, October 31st during PB.  The meeting will be in the auditorium.  This is just to see how many girls are interested and discuss potential planning moving forward

The College Visits  list is now available on the school website under guidance department.  This document will be constantly updating so please check back on a regular basis.  There is a signup sheet in the guidance office and you will also need a pass to give to your teacher.

Colleges visiting this week are today, Nichols College.  Wednesday,  Bay State College, Thursday, Mass College of Liberal Arts and Friday, Fisher College.

SENIORS - COMCAST SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS ARE NOW AVAILABLE IN THE GUIDANCE OFFICE.  -  DEADLINE IS NOVEMBER 7, 2017.  

Attention Seniors -- The deadline for your Senior Bios is fast approaching. Please complete the assignment and submit your photos on classroom. We will not be accepting late submissions so everything must be done by Wednesday, November 1st! Please see Mrs. DeLorenzo or Mrs. DeSimone with any questions.

Attention Debate Team Members - Please fill out the Google Form on classroom ASAP. Additionally if you did not receive a packet from Mr. Ennis on Tues or Thursday this  week please get one from him today. The next team practice will be held on Tuesday at 6:45am in room 202

JUNIORS:   your $45 dues are now due…...all dues must be paid before you will be allowed to purchase a prom ticket...all dues are being collected by Mrs. Graziano in room 218….if you have a problem let her know.

Attention freshmen and sophomores.  Your class dues are due by this Friday, November 3rd.  Freshmen dues are $10 and should be given to Mrs. Longo.  Sophomore dues are $15 and should be given to Mr. Winchell.  If you need to set up a payment arrangement, please speak to Mrs. DeLorenzo in the front office.  

Attention all members of the Spanish Honor Society. Our next monthly  meeting will be Wednesday, November 1st at 7:10 in Room 114. If you cannot make the meeting, please see Mrs. Oliveira

JV Field Hockey team should report to gym at the end of the school day to turn in their uniforms.

 

The next photo club meeting will be Tuesday after school in room 202 - remember to upload a picture for this week’s theme on classroom.

 

On Saturday the boys and girls cross country teams dominated the Mayflower Championships in Wrentham.  Both teams placed first out of 13 schools in the team scoring.  Devyn McCarthy won the girls varsity race, Anthony Spooner won the boys varsity race, Caitlin McGrath won the girls junior varsity race and Chance Bain won the boys junior varsity race.  Also winning medals were Maggie Allen, Caitlin Kaprelian, Charlotte Sinasky, Joie Kennon, Lauren Mitcheson, Morgan Doherty, Sarah Bryant, Gavin Varros, Madsen Anderson, Chris Williams, Dan Pleach and Chris Pratt.  In addition, 19 Wildcats in the junior varsity race all had their best time ever for 3,000 meters.

 

The Boys JV Soccer Team completes the season sweep of Westport by a score of 6-2. An own goal by Westport got the Wildcats on the board early in the first half and they took off from there. Dylan Dunklee doubled the lead shortly after with a nice strike into the bottom corner. Colin Shamey got on the score sheet in the second half, along with defender Ryan Hulme. Ben Fuller completed the scoring with a brace towards the end of the game.

 

WEST BRIDGEWATER BOYS SOCCER TEAM DEFEATED WESTPORTS BOYS TEAM 4 TO 1. SCORING FOR THE WEST BRIDGEWATER WILDCATS  WERE SHAWN THORBURN, LUKE SARANTOPOULOS, AND CJ DUNN WITH 2 GOALS. WEST BRIDGEWATER’S RECORD IS  11/4/2

 

Girls JV Soccer team wrapped up the season with a hard fought game against East Bridgewater. Although the girls lost, everyone played hard until the end. Congratulations on a great season ladies. Please remember to return your uniform to Coach Daley and stay tuned for announcements about an end of the season celebration.

 

The Varsity Field Hockey team tied Oliver Ames 0-0 in their first game under the lights.  It was an exciting back and forth game.  Haylee Devery played fantastic in goal behind a strong defensive effort by the team.  The Oar went to the team and the fans at the game for their non stop cheering. The team will find out today who they will play in the tournament. We hope to see you all out at the first tournament game.

 

The Wildcat cafe is serving Rotini pasta with meatsauce or marinara sauce, garlic toast and broccoli on the hotline today. Burgers and chicken patties are at the grill and cheese and pepperoni slices are at the pizza station. The featured grab and go salad this week is a Mediterranean Medley with couscous, feta and hummus. French toast sticks with tots and assorted breakfast sandwiches are available at break.

 

Good Morning Wildcats! Welcome back to your weekly weather with Weatherbee, for this weeks weather it’s pretty much just going to be cold and cloudy. For today it’s going to be partly cloudy with low 60s. Tomorrow will be the only sunny day for this week with low 60s. Wednesday will be partly cloudy with mid-50s. Lastly, Thursday will be partly cloudy with mid-60s. That’s all I got for this week going to the anchors right about now.
