(Video as well) On Saturday, the boys and girls cross country teams competed in the freezing temperatures at the Eastern Mass Championships in Wrentham. The boys team of Anthony Spooner, Gavin Varros, Chris Williams, Dan Pleach, Chris Rego, Chris Pratt and Madsen Anderson made history by finishing 3rd out of 24 teams. In the team’s 54-year history, this is WB’s highest finish ever and the first time the team has qualified for the Massachusetts State Meet. The girls team of Maggie Allen, Devyn McCarthy, Caitlin McGrath, Caitlin Kaprelian, Joie Kennon, Charlotte Sinasky, and Lauren Mitcheson qualified for the State Meet for the 3rd time in 4 years due to their 4th place finish. In total, out of hundreds of schools across the state which offer Cross Country, WB is one of just 16 to have both their girls and boys teams earn trips to the State Meet.

Congratulation to this years best Powder Puff team in the history of West Bridgewater Powder Puff teams. We are of course talking about the juniors who shut out the seniors who in reality never stood a chance of beating the greatest Powder Puff team, the juniors.
