MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS

All students must have a valid parking pass to park in the student lot. If you have not registered your vehicle for the current school year please come to the Main Office and get the paperwork to do so.

Attention students going on the Washington DC trip. It is very important that you make your final payment which is due to your teacher on or before Wednesday February 13th.  

A message from the public library - The public library is a safe place to come to do homework, read, talk quietly with friends after school. Disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated and no exceptions will be made. Starting on Monday, February 11th, NO food or drink will be allowed to be brought into the public library. Please make sure to behave in an appropriate manner.

Also -- Students going on the DC trip see either Mr. Ennis or Ms. DeSimone started this Friday to sign up for your room assignment. Sign ups window is open through Tuesday.    

The Photo Club NOT be meeting this tuesday. Meetings will resume after vacation

The next debate team meeting is Tues at 7am in room 202. Reminder that our next debate is here at the High School on Wednesday

NEW SCHOLARSHIPS

COLLEGE ACCEPTANCES:

The Athletic Boosters are looking for students who are over 18 to volunteer at Bingo for NHS  or Senior Community Service hours! Bingo is held every Thursday at St. Ann’s from 6-8 PM. Email Nicole Shea at wbboostersclub@gmail.com if you are interested in volunteering for hours.

Thinking about playing a spring sport? Sign-ups are going on now! The spring sports registration portal on FamilyId is now open. Please stop by and see Ms. Hammel in the Athletic Office, if you have any questions.

Student Council will be meeting before school in Room 204 on Tuesday February 12th.  Meeting will start at 7:05.

If you are interested in being a manager for the softball team, please see Coach Widdop.

SENIORS

As part of Gabriella Sharkey’s senior project she is selling senior t-shirts for the march pep rally!  All profits will go to the senior scholarship fund. Please see Gabriella Sharkey for an order form. She will also have order forms at the snack bar at tonight’s basketball game. All t-shirts are $10.

The boys middle school basketball team defeated Coyle Cassidy on Friday.Noah Scheenweiss, Drew Raphael, and Aiden Maher led a 2nd half surge that clinched the game. Nathan Anderson was immense on defense.

The Wildcat Cafe is serving Steak and cheese quesadillas on the hotline today with seasoned potato wedges. Ham and cheese croissant melts and burgers are at the grill and the pizza station is offering Big Daddy’s cheese pizza. The featured grab and go wraps are Asian chicken with crunchy chow mein noodles and chicken bacon ranch. Assorted breakfast sandwiches, soft pretzels and warm corn muffins are available at break.

The Co-Op team of Bridgewater-Raynham/ West Bridgewater are now 10-0 on their 2019 season. BR/WB won the Cranberry League Championships on 2/9 with a school record score of 148.7. BR/WB was well represented in the individual awards at the Championships.Junior Olivia Keyes won the all around with 38.35, Senior Captain Alison Silva was second with 37.35. Senior Captain Kara Devereaux won Vault with a 9.6, Bars with a 9.1 and beam with a 9.35. Sophomore Olivia Orphanos won floor with a 9.15 and was second on vault with a 9.4. Senior Captain Madelyn DeAndrade was second on floor with a 9.1, Freshman Katie Rees was second on bars with a 8.4 and Freshman Kerryn Olson was fourth with a 8.2. Freshman Toni Pardy finished sixth on Vault with 8.55, Junior Mia Manning was third on balance beam with a 8.9 and 6th on floor with 8.8 and Sophomore Jenna Bray finished 5th on floor with a 8.85. Senior Captain Kara Devereaux was voted Senior gymnast of the year for the Cranberry League and Head Coach Stephen Cudworth was voted Cranberry League Coach of the year. BR/WB will now qualify to the MIAA South Sectional Tournament at Algonquin High School on 2/23 at 10am.
