Staff Luncheon - Thank you P.A.T.S
We would like to thank the P.A.T.S (Parents Affirming Teachers and Staff) group for putting on a wonderful luncheon on May 9th for the faculty and staff. Everyone was able to enjoy a luncheon that included fresh salads, appetizing sandwiches, hot entrees, and delectable desserts. The food was outstanding and it was a great treat during National Teacher Appreciation Week! Thank you to those who came in to help serve the food as well as to those who did the cooking and preparing. If you wish to help with P.A.T.S please contact Pippa Asker at 508-509-6482.
Music Department Hershey Trip
The festival was in Hershey, PA where members of both the High School Band and Chorus Performed.
At the awards ceremony Saturday evening our students accepted rated awards with other performing schools. The Chorus trophy was rated “Good” - not bad for only having a portion of our chorus! Samantha Miller did an outstanding job as our chorus soloist. The Band trophy was rated “Excellent”, our highest yet! All students were respectful, played well, and represented WBHS extremely well.
Hope to see you Thursday Evening May 10th at our High School Concert - a few of the festival pieces will be performed again!

World Cultures Fair
Last Tuesday, May 1st, the students in West Bridgewater High School’s Diversity Club and Spanish Honor Society hosted an evening festival to celebrate world cultures. It was quite a success! For a token amount, families and students were invited to “visit” eight different world cultures on display in the cafeteria; to experience a small sampling of their food, music, art and scenery. Some of the food was very generously donated by area restaurants such as Christos, Restaurant Luanda, The Italian Kitchen, Café Francesca and Route 138 Thai Restaurant. Other items were graciously donated by families of students. After eating, guests were invited to try out free Latin American Zumba classes or participate in learning some Greek dancing steps. Unfortunately, the Bocci Tournament had to be cancelled because of rain! Plans are already under way to do this again next week, to include even more countries in our evening tour of world food, music, dance, art and games!
College Fair
65 members of the junior class along with their Guidance Councilors Laurie Howard and Al Pina attended the National College Fair at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. Over 300 colleges, both national and international, as well as ROTC and military recruiters were on hand to assist the students. Also, representatives from S.A.T., ACT, and Financial Aid offices were on hand to offer advice. After researching colleges in school, the students were able to visit the college booths, collect information, and talk to the councilors.
