The renovation scopes identified in the attached document include Architectural, ADA/MAAB, Structural, Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical, Fire Protection and Sitework. These scopes were created to help establish the estimated renovation cost of the Rose L. MacDonald School and Howard school to be a combined $96M. Since both the buildings are occupied, the renovation projects will require swing space to relocate the students during construction, or a complicated, elongated phased construction schedule. The renovations will drastically improve the conditions of the existing buildings, but they will not meet the district’s educational needs and address any future growth.
