Starting this week, all of us who eat in the cafeteria are going to become rescuers–food rescuers, that is.  In partnership with Vineyard Farm, the cafeteria now has specially lined milk crates that will be used to collect our leftover food. After you finish eating, we ask that you please put any leftovers in one of the lined crates. Vineyard Farm will pick up the filled crates every afternoon, taking what would otherwise be wasted food destined for landfills. The farm will feed many of these scraps to their farm animals and compost the rest.

Any food that you take and do not eat any part of should continue to go in the Shared Food basket. If we all do our part in this new endeavor, we will eliminate food waste in our school. What a great way to show WB Pride!

Another job opportunity!  If you have a license and a means of transportation, someone is willing to pay you to grocery shop for their elderly WB parents once a week.  If you are interested, please see Mrs. MacMillan for more information.

Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States for honoring and mourning the U.S. military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.   From 1868 to 1970, it was observed on May 30.  Since 1971, it has been observed on the last Monday of May.  For anyone who can attend on Monday The West Bridgewater Memorial Day Commemorative Service will take place at 10:00 am at the War Memorial Park on River Street.
