MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS

Is your car dirty from all the construction on 106? There will be a boosters car wash on Sunday the 26th from 12pm to 3pm at the town hall. Rain date is Sunday October 3rd, same time. The boosters need student volunteers for the car wash. You can sign up to volunteer in the office.

The Learning Commons is open Wednesday & Thursday during Power Block, Friday, the Learning Commons for power block will be closed. Please send Ms. Newell a pass request using e-hallpass on the day you would like to come. To access e-hallpass, you can login through Clever, or visit e-hallpass.com. 

The next meeting of the drama club will be on Monday after school in the auditorium.   New members are welcome to join! Please see Mrs. Brogna with any questions. 

Any student interested in joining Video Club, we will have an informational meeting on Monday after school in the TV Studio. The Video Club is open to all students grades 7-12. Interested in making great video content? Already love making videos? Want to make them better? Stop by Monday and find out what the Video Club is all about!

The environmental club will meet tuesday after school for a sign up meeting.

Tonight's Friday Night Football Game is a Hawaiian Theme.   Come out to support your team.

The JV Golf team tied Southeastern yesterday in a tight match. Kaylee Petenelli and Ava Matta picked up 3 points to tie the match! Great job JV golfers!

The golf team picked up another nice win over Southeastern 6 to 3.  Tommy Sheedy, Zach Bellody, and Billy Bassett dominated the day picking up 3 key points and contributing to the best ball matches.  Tyler Bisbee, Ben Astor, and Thomas Polidoriall scored well for the wildcats.  Vinny Centrella and Brady Waldron won their matches for WB.  Outstanding job golf team!

The Field hockey team played against Westport yesterday. Varsity won 2-0, goals scored by Abby Matta and Emily Cruickshank, assisted by Olivia Razza. 

Jv field hockey won 2-0, goals scored by Alexis Perez and Kadence Gill assisted by Lauren Holland. There is a home game for both teams today on the turf! See you there! 

Any student interested in joining Model United Nations, we will have our informational meeting this Friday during power block in the learning commons. This club is open to all students grades 7-12.  If you love debating, problem solving, and interacting with others to resolve global issues then this may be the right club for you. Stop in to find out more about model UN! 

 

Are you passionate about social justice and helping those in society? If so then join ACTION club!  During club meetings, we will be focusing on important issues in society such as oppression of minority groups, ableism, racial and LGBTQ+ justice, and working towards equality, as well as educating others on these issues. This is a safe place for people to come together and share their experiences. Anybody from any grade is welcome to join! We will be meeting every Tuesday during Power Block in the band room. New members are always welcome anytime.

Any sophomore, junior, or senior interested in purchasing a class ring can pick up a ring information packet and order form from Mr. Winchell in Room 215.  Class ring orders will be taken on Thursday, September 23rd from 4:30-6:00pm in the lobby and during lunches on Friday, September 24th.

(Sept 17) The Wildcat Cafe is serving Buffalo chicken, pepperoni and cheese pizza today at lunch along with beef and cheese nachos, chicken patties and freshly made grab and go wraps, subs and salads. This week’s featured wrap is Buffalo chicken. Breakfast choices include donut holes, sausage and pancakes on a stick with tots, soft pretzels, breakfast sandwiches and assorted pastries. All meals are free but make sure to take at least one serving of fruit or vegetable.

The MIAA is holding its 21st annual Sportsmanship Essay/Multimedia Contest. The contest is open to students in grades 9-12 and entries can be in the form of an essay or video. The contest theme is “Title IX and sportsmanship make high school sports better because…” There are some sweet cash prizes for contest winners so scan the QR code on your screen. The contest ends on October 15.
