MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS

The first Student Council meeting will be held Thursday morning. All high school students are welcome to join as we begin planning Homecoming and Spirit Week! Please meet in Room 116 at 7:05 am; email Miss Pennington with questions. 

A reminder to all current NJHS members - our first meeting is today at powerblock. New members, your meeting will be next week! Check Google Classroom for additional information. 

The next Debate Team Practice will be held after school in room 202 on thursday the 30th

The next global citizens meeting will be held during powerblock in the orange commons on thursday the 30th 

Ms. Hammel is looking for a student to help collect game information from our coaches to enter into our morning announcements document. Please see Ms. Hammel in the athletic office for more information.

PowderPuff 2021 is happening  on Friday, October 22 at 7pm!!   What grade will win this year?   This event is open to any girl in grades 9-12 who would like to play a little flag football  and any senior boy who would like to be on the cheerleading team.  Sign ups will be Thursday, September 30 and friday, October 1 during Power Block in the Cafe. The fee is $20. per student and this fee includes your team shirt.    If you would like to pick up a sign up sheet prior to Thursday  please see MaKenna Walsh,  Mrs. Flynn in room 112 or you can pick one up in the office.

Attention Model United Nations team and those students attending the St John’s meet --- Please fill in your first and second choice committee choices on the form found on our google Classroom. These are due by Thursday. 

Attention students who wish to participate in a Drum Circle, We will be holding our first meeting this Friday during power block in the Music Room.  Be sure to write your own Pass to Mr. Nenopoulos, and to show this to your power block teacher.  

Attention Freshman & Sophomores who are interested in running for class office. Elections will be taking place on the week of October 4th to select the class officers for the Class of 2024 & 2025. If you are interested in running, please see Mrs. Longo in room 203 for a nomination form and for more information. 

(Sept 29) The Wildcat Cafe is offering additional break choices today for the ½ day. Brunch for break choices include warm funnel cakes, smoothies, soft pretzels, breakfast sandwiches, grilled cheese, french bread pizza, bacon egg and cheese pizza, and assorted pastries. Crispy tater tots are available with all meals. Please make sure to take at least one serving of fruit or vegetable.

Guidance News

Juniors and Seniors, we’ve got a couple colleges visiting this week: University of Miami will hold a zoom  on Friday, Oct 1st at 10am in Guidance conference room. UMass Amherst and Bay Path called and they need to reschedule. Stay tuned

There is a sign-up sheet in Guidance if you are interested. 

Seniors don’t forget to always be checking your emails, as there will be lots of information that you need to be aware of.

PSAT is Saturday Oct 16, 2021at WBMSHS at 7:45. Please sign up and pay in the Guidance office. 

Sophomores - Please come and sign up to see if you can go to HOBY Leadership conference. Great opportunity. See Mrs Myers in Guidance
