MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS

Are you interested in learning more about taking care of your body as a student athlete? The MIAA is hosting a virtual health and wellness summit on Friday, October 15th from 8:30 am to 12 pm. Any high school student is welcome to attend, and you will be excused from any missed classes. Please contact Dorothea McGrath if you are interested or have any questions.

Just a reminder to all students grades 7-12 that the Video Club will be meeting after school today in the TV Studio.

Attention Model United Nations -- We will be meeting today during Power Block in the Learning commons -- Please fill out an E Appointment pass to Mr. Nenopoulos.   We will also be meeting in the Library This Thursday at 2:05.

On Saturday at the Bay State Invitational, Ella Dunbury won her third medal of the season by finishing 17th out of 120 runners.  In the process, Ella became just the 8th female Wildcat runner ever to break the 21 minute barrier for a 5K.  Hey Wildcats, do you know who was the first Wildcat to break this barrier?  She may or may not currently be teaching science to you here at WBHS.

The girls JV soccer team defeated southeastern Friday 10-0. Goals scored by Jill Bouvier, Alyssa Catino, Shayna Wallach, Shelby Lamine, Neive Tarney, Caroline Auger, Sam O’Neil and Ava O’Neil. Alyssa catino and Sammie Morse had great games in net! Next game is tomorrow against Taunton.

PSAT is Saturday Oct 16, 2021at WBMSHS at 7:45. Please sign up and pay in the Guidance office.

(10/1) The Wildcate Cafe is serving popcorn chicken with mashed potatoes and corn, burgers and Big Daddy’s cheese pizza along with their freshly made grab and go salads, wraps and powerpacks. The featured wrap this week is Asian chicken with crunchy peapods and chow mein noodles. Donuts, sausage and pancakes on a stick with tots, egg sandwiches, smoothies and assorted pastries are available at break. Don’t forget to take a fruit, juice or veggie!

Sophomore Class Elections will be taking place today during Power Block. The sophomore class is asked to report to your Power Blocks first for attendance and then after the 5 minute freeze, please head down to the auditorium to listen to speeches and to vote for your class officers. Please bring something to write with!
