
Fall Athletics - A message from WB AD Ms. Hammel - We wanted to provide you with preliminary information about fall sports for next year. We have many unanswered questions about what the fall athletic season might look like and will be waiting for more information and guidance from the MIAA. If you have any questions please contact Athletic Director Jenn Hammel at jhammel@wbridgewater.com. More information will be sent to the students school email accounts so please be looking for it.
1. Tryouts for the fall season will begin on August 21, 2020 for football. All other sports begin on August 24, 2020. The deadline to sign up for fall sports is August 20th. PLEASE NOTE THE SITUATION REGARDING COVID19 IS STILL VERY FLUID. THESE DATES MAY CHANGE.
2. NO PAYMENT IS DUE AT THIS TIME. ONCE WE RECEIVE INFORMATION FROM THE MIAA ON THE STATUS OF THE FALL SPORTS SEASON YOU WILL BE CONTACTED TO PAY THE ATHLETIC FEE.

Attention members of the class of 2021 and 2022:
Bridgewater State and Massasoit are now accepting applications for the Dual Enrollment Program for the fall semester 2020. Juniors and seniors are eligible to take courses through this program.
*What is Dual Enrollment? It is a program that allows qualified juniors and seniors to take college courses and receive college and high school credit. Courses are offered to high school students at a reduced rate.
*To be eligible to enroll in a course, you must have a 3.0 GPA or be recommended by your guidance counselor and have a written approval from your parent/guardian.
*Courses are held at Massasoit and BSU after school hours.If you are interested in applying, please email Mr. Pina, Mrs Howard or Mrs Myers ASAP for more information. The deadline for your completed application to be submitted to guidance is Wednesday, May 20th.

FYI: if you haven't already heard, Governor Baker mandated a 3 week school closure. So now all #wbwildcats will return to school on April 7th, not March 30th. Please see the update posted earlier today with helpful information.

The Local scholarship application (CSF, Howard Trustees, Class of 2020) have been distributed to the members of senior class. The deadline to return your application to guidance is April 3rd. In addition, there are many other scholarship apps available in the guidance office. #wbwildcats

Mr. WB 2020 Friday, March 6th at 7pm in the MSHS Auditorium. Tickets are $15 at the door and all proceeds go to the West Bridgewater Class of 2020 Scholarship Fund #wbwildcats

MSHS update on what we are doing to decrease the spread of communicable illness:
*High touch areas (door handles, railings, water fountains etc) and all desks and tables will be disinfected daily by custodial staff.
*A video on hand washing has been shown on the morning announcements
*Signage has been put up around the school on hand washing
*School nurse is going into classrooms to discuss hand washing and other preventative measures to help better educate students in the prevention of spreading all illnesses.
