Dear Families & Students,

We know that this school closure has had a negative impact on food security for many families, especially those who have lost wages or even employment because of this current health crisis. The West Bridgewater School District is committed to helping students access the nutrition they need to thrive while school is closed.

Therefore, on Monday, March 30th, The West Bridgewater School district will begin providing grab and go meals for all children and teens during this period of school closure. These meals are free to all students and no sign-up is required!

WHAT:  Free Grab and Go Breakfasts and Lunches for each child. Children DO NOT need to be present

WHEN:  Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
WHERE: MSHS;  curbside at door #10 (across from the tennis courts)

TIME:   Between 9:30am-11:00am

More free meal locations near you can also be found through this map.
Please know that we are following every safety protocol and best practice for social distancing at meal sites.

All meals are served in a grab and go format, with curbside pickup to limit social interactions.  Curbside pickup is an easy process:

1. Follow the driveway around the building to the tennis courts

2. Roll down your window and tell the nutrition staff how many children- you will need to give the names of the children you are picking up meals for.

3. Staff will place the number of meals you requested on a table and step back

4. You exit your car and grab your meals

This process ensures we follow the recommended social distance and ensures the safety of all.

If you would like further assistance in accessing food resources during this time, Project Bread’s Food Source Hotline (1-800-645-8333) is available to connect you to food resources as well as provide information about elder meals programs and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as food stamps. The Hotline will continue to operate Monday-Friday, 8am-7pm and Saturdays 10am-2pm, and can provide information in 160 languages.  There is also a dedicated line for those that are hearing impaired.
