WB World Culture Night - Do you love food from around the world? But don’t have the budget to travel to these exotic locations when you’re hungry? Look no further! West Bridgewater’s annual World Culture Night offers you a night of amazing cuisine from 20 different countries around the world, along with music and cultural workshops. The event is held at the MSHS this Thursday beginning at 5:30 pm. All are welcome! Tickets are $6 each with a family cap of $25 and will be sold at the door. FY25 Budget Presentation - Here is a link to the presentation that was presented at the School Committee Meetings on March 4th and March 11th. The school department will next meet with the Board of Selectmen and Finance Committee next week https://www.wbridgewaterschools.org/article/1503401
Reminder Superintendent Morning Meeting - The next meeting with Mr. Bodwell will be tomorrow, Friday, March 15th at 9:15 am at the SSS. All are welcome to attend. The main topics of discussion will be the FY25 budget and updates on the elementary school building project.

WELCOME School Resource Officer Packard - He has been on the West Bridgewater Police Department for 10 years, is a Marine Corps veteran, a Swat Team member, and a father of two boys in the district. He is also a graduate of West Bridgewater MSHS. We are excited to have SRO Packard working in the schools!
THANK YOU School Resource Officer Pope - The West Bridgewater School Department wants to thank SRO Tim Pope for his years of service to the students and staff in WB. He has done an outstanding job and we wish him the best of luck in his new position of Sergeant. Superintendent Morning Meeting (Coffee Hour) with Mr. Bodwell - Friday, February 16th at 9:15 am at the Spring Street School. All are welcome to attend. Here are some of the topics for discussion: MSBA building project update, SOA Plan, FY25 Budget, Superintendent in Residence Program, Inclement weather decisions, traffic and driving concerns, extracurricular activities, school discipline, and winter athletics.
Thursday, February 15th is School Resource Officer Appreciation Day. In West Bridgewater, we want to thank SRO Tim Pope for all his hard work and dedication every day! He does an outstanding job working with our students and staff. We are so fortunate to have him in WB! Thank you!

Date Change - The next Superintendent Morning Meeting with Mr. Bodwell has been moved from Friday, February 9th to Friday, February 16th. The meeting will be at 9:15 at the Spring Street School. Hope to see you there!
Video production students participated in the Four-Hour Frenzy competition in Quincy. Teams from area schools received a prompt and had four hours to research, interview, shoot, and edit a news segment. The prompt was “Steeped in History” (fitting for Quincy). This was the first time that WB was represented in this competition and they received a bronze recognition!. We’re proud of the team of Zac Lefferts, Aidan Maier, Lucy Pimental, Dharalynn Soto, and Thomas Stapleton.
Congrats to these students whose projects have moved on to the next round of National History Day! Ellis Island: group exhibit by Charlotte Farrell-Fren, Hannah Dragonetti, Abbigail Rudolph! The Railroad: group documentary by Tristan Hambly, Arran Hambly, Christopher Jones!

Superintendent in Residence - I thoroughly enjoyed my last 2 days at the Howard School. Thank you, Mr. Leeman and the entire Howard School staff for welcoming me. It is a school where students are learning, cared for, and supported. It was great to be at arrivals and dismissals, in classrooms, interacting with students and staff, being in common planning meetings, lunches, recess and just being present in the school. Completing the 2 days in each of the buildings has been a wonderful experience that I will repeat in the future.
Friendly reminder there is no school on Monday, January 15, 2024 for the observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
